Could You Be Loved?

Well hello, dear reader... well, not that dear... I haven't paid you yet.

I'll be honest with you, this is the first blog that I've done (well, currently doing) that is wireless. Yes, I've resorted to use the wireless function on my laptop for no apparent reason other than just to say I can go wireless. Beat that, you Ethernet cable users.

It is also a welcome return to late night blogging (and other people my age would either be being pissed or doing a nine-pinter at this time at night). Well, I say 'welcome', I'm passing the time between starting to feel tired and actually getting into bed. As of now, I am at five percent on the tiredness indicator, though with over half my battery left to go, this should be a short'un. No promises though.

So yeah, I've written two paragraphs, and now I have no idea what to write (well, type) about. Until now.

I've just realized two things. The first thing is that Firefox has a spellchecker and I believe it's set to US English, and not Welsh English.... Damn you, you hound of flames...

Also, I've started to have a sort of a don't speak unless spoken to idea on life. Y'know, it's like, I have nothing interesting to talk about (I mean, look at all the blog posts, nothing interesting... just bizarre...), so why talk? Why burden other people with useless information that is, well, useless? Saying that, it doesn't mean that I won't talk back if you start talking to me, it's just that I'm not the best conversationalist.

And, to be fair, that ideal has gone through to Life 2.0 (or, for the people who didn't get it, online life). It sounds rather pathetic, but I try to keep myself to myself on Facebook and all that. I delete anything on my wall that I don't like, or that says that I've done something. I've gone as far as to delete some groups that I became a fan of because I've saw no point in them. I mean, just because you sing out aloud to songs, doesn't mean joining a group with everyone else that does this makes you superior to everyone who doesn't do it. Or whatever the reason of joining the group is. If it's a way to meet new people, it's not the best way. I've just realized I'm having a rant on something pretty pointless.

Maybe you're wondering why this has made me type a blog up on it, maybe you'd rather have a verbal enema. But by the by, I shall continue.

For some reasons or other, there have been mini arguments - marguments, if you will. I don't know what about, neither do I care. But I tell you one thing, if everyone learned to shut up (or, at least thought about what they said before they said the think), the world would be a better place. Or at least a quieter one. But no, we live in a civilization where free speech entitles people to not think about what they are about to say.

Grrrrrrr.

Sometimes, I think it would've been better if humanity didn't progress so quick. Yeah, I know that it's been millions of years of progress, but it's because of this is where we at today. I mean, this age is the age where there's no real fight for survival, no day-by-day life threatening problems (unless you're one of these people that believe a bad hair day is a reasonable reason for committing suicide... and if you are, you need help). The only thing people (well, the majority of people, as it seems to me) worry about is getting high/pissed and getting laid.

Where as, if we were in the same era as the Stone Agers, there'd be a reason to fight, reason to fear (and if you think balloons and clowns are reasons to fear, it's not the same as having the fear that your family could die from an unknown virus or just killed in their sleep). I honestly have no idea why I'm saying these things. I'd be dead years ago if we lived in that lifestyle (and yet, you wouldn't be reading this), but it's like the further the human race progresses, the need to be aware lessens. If that makes sense.

But then again, if we did live in the Stone age type of life, I wouldn't have known anything about music apart from the fact that hitting things with sticks makes sounds. There wouldn't be no Bob Marley to listen to. And that's unheard of these days. Yes, the title of this blog is a Marley song, one of my favorites from him (the song is about God, I believe, either if you could be loved by the almighty one, though I may be wrong). And, in Redemption Song, 'Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, None but ourselves can free our minds...'. Don't ask me why I quoted Bob Marley. He was amazing. But those lyrics are true. Only we can free our minds from things. I'll be honest when I say I'm not sure what he means by mental slavery, maybe it could be peer-pressure, doubt, or anything that can hold you back or has an ability to create an air of fear and hatred inside of you. Whatever it means, I'm going to try to follow that.

Yeah, just be glad I didn't go the whole hog and quote Three Little Birds...

Also, sorry for the weird path of this blog, but yeah, this is the end. Smilie face.

Paparazzi In A Box

Excuse the shaite title.

Because I've had a wierd song in my head for the last few hours. I shall tell you this thaught. Let me know what you think.

First off, and don't judge me here if you ain't a fan of 'em, I've had the chorus of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga in my head. No idea why, it's just stuck, not bad considering I've only heard it like three times. But, I heard it differently...

I shall tells you what I mean, like. Genuine.

I heard the lyrics from the song, but heard it to totally different music. The band, Alice In Chains, braught out the song Man In The Box. It's a good'un, apart from some part seem a bit off, but meh. The chorus section of that song (which, you can YouTube. I've tried to find a decent one but they are either terrible, cheesy or a Rock Band thing).

So yeah, I'm singing Lady Gaga songs to Grunge music. Normal?

Also, this...

Staying on the musical line of fire (see what I did there? Class). I've (kinda) learned another Beatles song (yey) on guitar. Drive My Car, baby. It's a funky song. Also, I buggered up at a section and found a new riff. Fuck aye.

On other news. There is no other news.

Happy days.

Well, it would be if the pissing snow would stop during the week and only come during the holidays.

Smilie face.

Assassin Is Born.

Today, is the greatest, day I've ever known.

Sorry, went into Music Tech mode then. Anyroad, today wasn't the best day for me...

Shall I expand? Tuff, I'm going to anyways...

So, after getting off the bus home, some boy who's been a bastard towards me for no reason, thaught it would be funny if him and his mate would confront me about what happened a couple o' weeks ago on the school bus. Then his mate decided to give an idea to him... Slash him...

So yeah, I've been threatened by someone who's studying their GCSE's (well, I say studying, it's more like deliberately failing since he's only been in school three times in the past five weeks). He seemed to be proud of that, repeating as I walked away rather swiftfully "Look at you, being bullied by someone younger than you" or some shite like that. And as tis was happening, I was listening to Muse. Guess what were the lyrics that were sang?...

Assassin is born.

That last piece of info was there just because I found it rather interesting... so yeah, anyone fancy teaching me self defence?...

In other, less violent news, I've baught the 'GTAIV:- Episodes From Liberty City' game for XBox 360, and so far it's pretty good. Finally get to play Ballad Of Gay Tony. =). And there's a badass SMG there, fuck aye.

Also, I have a question... is it illegal to impersonate a soldier?

I know it's illigal to impersonate a police officer, and doctor, I believe. But, what about a soldier? Hmmmm. Not even a police officer knows...

Sorry, odd thaught.

Anysnake, Them Crooked Vultures' album is out. It better be a good'un. =).

So yeah, that's it.

You Set My Soul Alight.

I've gone from quoting Smashing Pumpkins to quoting Muse in my blog titles. I suppose it's not a bad thing, eh?

Anyways, did ya miss me?

Thought not.

Well, I would've posted sooner, but I either couldn't be arsed, or - most likely - it's because the charger to my laptop's gone kaput. Thus making me use my parents computer for a few days, which is also making me void of a lot of internet time. Shame. Anyroad, I have to wait a good few days for a new charger. It's a sad day for the beating heart of my laptop, as it's only thirty four percent full.

But, on the plus side, I've been reconnected with Safari, and it's spellchecker function... someone remind me to find a good'un for FireFox, there's a good lad/lass.

So yeah. Nothing much happened this week. Though it was my eighteenth birthday on Monday. That's the only mention I'll say on it, as I can't see it as anymore than just another day. I might say more on it in the next post. Lucky you.

Besides that, nothing's really happening in school. I'm just plodding my way through Chemistry and Physics, while I feel like I'm a headless chicken in Music Tech. I've done nothing of worth in Music Tech, other than record the bass part for Adam's song and make up a bass riff that does not match the lyrics of Alone. Shite. I are fucked.

It kind of shows in what the teacher's predicting me... a C or a D. Yey, I'm not going to improve on my D for AS... apparently.

Er, oh yes. Not only that, but there's another INSET day this friday. And I must be the only person in school to appose is. We just had a week off for Jesus' sake... ah well, at least there's a possibility to see my sister in Carmarthen then.

And this, shall be goodbye... or au revoir, or whatever tickles your linguistical pickle...

Give Me Your Heart And Your Soul

G'morning.

Today, is not only a Tuesday, but the day of a new template for my blog. I didn't do it (more's the pity), but yeah, I'll keep using it for a fair while. Y'like?

So, what's been up since the last post. Nothing really. Apart from being really ill for the past couple o' days. Feeling much better now though, thanks for asking. Also, tonight's the night of my friend, Kayleigh's eighteenth birthday party. Hopefully I'll get some unknown factor the make me well within the next couple of hours for me to go. Yeah, that's news, eh? Hehe.

Anyroad. apart from that, nawt else happened really. It's half term, so the only company I've got is Jeremy Kyle and a laptop. Wey.

Jeez... it's a short one today....

Actually yeah, it shall be a short'un.

Well, at least I haven't written an essay on why we should bury batteries when they die...

One Down...

Well hello. Haven't seen you around here. You new?

Of course not... or if you are actually someone that I've never met and it's your first time to glance at my musings... then hello there. But, since it's a Sunday, no chance of that happening.

And for most of that intro, I've had David Mitchell's voice saying it. Damn, I've wathced too many Peep Show's in a matter of days...

Thank fuck for Channel 4 On Demand...

Anyways, enough of the three full stops in a row.

For (not) the first time ever, Movie Maker is being an arse to me. The new one (Windows Live Movie Maker) not only doesn't work, but made my screen turn blue - which nicely told me, in a roundabout way, that the computer's fucked - and then decided to restart. Bloody hell. But lo and behold, I've still got the normal Movie Maker.

But, not only that, for some bizzare reason, you cannot use MP4 files in it. It's like an industry standard, I thaught. I know that MPEG's are native(ish) to Windows, while AVI's and the like are native to the Mac. Ah well, I've got to wait a bit to do Burt's video of the Physics lesson of the dancing flames (link there for people who didn't know Burt had a blog). Actually, I do have a MPEG file of it, but with no audio. Movie Maker's fucking with me, and by the looks of things, I'm the one that's bent over and tied to a lamppost dressed like someone from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Happy days.

Elsewhere, and is linked to the last section, I tried to download a demo of Adobe Premiere Elements 8. That also placed a horrible feeling of shame and misfortune in both my heart and my laptop's hard drive. Man, if only I had After Effects working... or at all.

But, word to the wise, if you need a good video editing software, don't get Premiere Elements, get After Effects or Premiere Pro. Anyways.

A sense of achievement, disbelieve and bone-shattering patheticness has also been presented to me. All three, opened by the drumkit from Guitar Hero World Tour. Yesterday, whilst playing on the newest one (Guitar Hero 5, to you and me... and your teddy bear... don't deny it, I know you have one), I decided to go on Expert, to play some of the less-hard Expert songs (y'know, the ones that are slightly harder than the hardest songs on Hard, which I cannot do most of them). So what was the song?

I chose Muse's Plug In Baby.

And, for the first time... I've FC'd it. I've fully completed (meaning hit all the notes without overhitting or losing the combo) an expert song on drums. Now that deserves three rounds of two hips and a horrey soon after, don't you think? So yeah, achievement because I've finally cracked an FC on drums on Expert. Disbelieve because I (still) cannot believe I've done it. And the patheticness is that it's only a stupid computer game. It's nothing to brag about, right? I'm just basically saying that I can keep in time with some notes that are scrolling down towards me. Nothing special.

And that, is kinda how I think about real drums. I mean, like I've started actually playing the real drums a couple o' months back. But I kinda feel that some people (maybe all) see me on the drums and think "look at him, just because he can do some songs on the drums on Guitar Hero, doesn't mean he can play real drums" or something along those lines. Ah well, as long as they don't think that the only reason I started cricket was because I played on Brian Lara Cricket for three hours a day. Because that would be wrong. It was because I was interested in how Shane Warne and Ashley Giles spun the ball so goodly.

Ah well, if in doubt, have it off with a kestril.

Half term's coming. The first holiday that will hopefully be less shaite than any other. This time, I might actually do something. Some of the boys might do a snooker tournament, and I'll end up probably losing all the matches. Man, I suck at that game. Maybe it's because I feel awkward staring at balls on the table. Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner. Such is life.

So the moral of this post... never play with strangers.

If you can see where this message is in this post... then you're reading a different post.

I'm Not Stupid, I'm Not Smart, It's Like I'm Not Even There At All.

That, is me all over.

To be fair, that song is me all over. The song's 'You're Too Cool' by Gob, by the by. And apparently they're recording a new album soon. Oh yeah, I'm in virtual happiness. Not only the albums from Muse, Paramore and Pearl Jam came out this month, but another Gob album too. FUCKAYE. All that's needed is Rise Against to bring out an 'Unplugged' album and that'll make this year a good'un music wise.

Apart from the Black Eyed Peas song... the one with the words I'm so three thousand and eight, your so two thousand and late... oh na.... oh na.... I feel real sorry for the person who wrote that...

Anyways, how's it going?

Today's been... lets just say... a meh day. A day with two different halfs of the same coin. If that makes sense. And it followed the good, the bad and the ugly setting... but in reverse.

First, the ugly.... and I know you're expecting a photo of me, but the camera broke... so yeah. All I'll say is atoms for this...

Secondly, the bad... dinnertime, I was in a slightly pissed off mood (since the ugly setting happened), so I plodded up to Music Tech, where in the earlier lesson we moved the acoustic drums into the designated room for Music Tech (which is actually used for bass lessons). I just stayed in all dinnertime, and trying to play along with some songs on my iPod. The only things I know on drums are purely because of Guitar Hero.

Needless to say, I was bad. Because I couldn't hear the music properly (and because I misjudged the timings), I was all over the place tempo wise. But I soldiered on (well, it was a way of blocking out the silence in my life....sorry, went all Bill Bailey on your arse there) and managed to do rather feeble covers of some songs. The one I'm happiest about it Re-Education (Through Labor). Fuck yes. Guitar Hero finally helps people. Woo.

Lastly, the good... I will be getting either a new bass or guitar for my eighteenth birthday. Oh yes.

It's not going to be an expensive one, and by that I mean you can have basses that set you back well over three thousand smackers. Y'know the bass I want... it's a Thunderbird IV Goth. I don't know the difference between the normal Thunderbird IV and its Goth counterpart, apart from cost. Ah well, it's only a bass. It's not like people'll hear it, eh?

So yeah, a mixed bag today. Rather dreading tomorrow also. And I misspelled also about three times in that time.

Meh, this shall be the end of tonight's blog.

Maybe the next one'll be an amazing one, filled with twists, turns and scotch eggs.

Well, maybe no twists...

G'bye.

Breaking The Habit.

Well, what do you think of my new look?

Bet you thaught you'd never see the day when my blog was white, eh?

Anyways, school tomorrow, all three lessons also. Luckily I've got third and fourth off, meaning I have three and a quarter hours to think about doing something remotely useful in my academic life.

But will I? Most probably not.

And why not? Maybe it is because I have that hateful trait of laziness. Ah, I dunno. Maybe I'll find myself suddenly having a burst of wonderous inspiration and doing something worthful. But, I doubt that'll happen.

So... nice day?

Sorry, I'm just trying to avoid going to sleep. 'Cause I know it'll take me about an hour to actually sleep, and in that time I would have played a few games of solitaire on my iPod and have had rather disturbing thaughts on life again.

And that's got me thinking... is that what midlife crisis are? Just having days of being shite-scared of what life has in store for you? In that case... I'll be dead before fourty. Hope not. Then again, I'd probably'd rather that than the whole watching the world swirl ever deeper into the pit of destruction it has built itself.

Shit... I promised myself I wouldn't talk about anything deep. So I'll leave it there for now. Carry on.

So yeah, have you realised that I usually post a blog late at night? At least this one's different... so far. But for some reason somethings just catch my eye and distract... Oh look... a squirell.

And on another note... this time it's G#...

Post 2.... Plus 45.

Yeah, I've overplayed Song 2 on drums (97% on Expert drums, fuck aye with a coating of loneliness).

So, how are you these days? Any good?

Well, it's the weekend, and nearly the end of September. Well, there's a week left sort of, but meh. October will be less Rocktober, more (being a)Cocktober. Don't ask why, simply 'cause I don't know yet. Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner, that I love London so.... Sorry, broke into random singage there. Pity that I can't sing. When I do I just sound like a ten year old boy whose recently been told that Santa isn't real (disclaimer, believe what you want on this debate, I think he's a bit like Jesus... or maybe is Jesus... that'll be a turn up for the books, ya?), high pitched, shakey and with a hint of unnatural decay. Or something or nothing.

Besides, I know this because I tried to see if my microphone (from Gutar Hero World Tour... don't hate me) worked on my laptop (even though it doesn't work on any Guitar Hero game now). I opened up a program (oh, a slight hint of mistery there... what in God's unknown name is it?) and I recorded like, twenty seconds of myself. All I can say is this... there's a reason why I stay home and blog my life away. I've noticed how feeble my voice sounds. How cheesily annoying it is. Ha, I thaught my voice sounded high to me, but then that recording... thank Bill Gates for the creation of the Recycle Bin (on PC's, anyways).

So yeah, the mic works fine on my laptop, yet not at all on Guitar Hero. Explain?

Nah, you don't have to.

But yes, this is my fourty-seventh blog post. Fancy getting me a present once I hit the big five-ough? Nah, you don't have to... but an e-cookie would be nice... =).

And, thanks to sone of my friends who keeps reminding me on how far away her birthday is, I know how far my birthday is... sadly. In five weeks. Joy. I've tried to make sure that nobody remembers my birthday, for many reasons. The main one is because it's just another day to me. Simple as. I mean, I don't have a celebration for when I turn one month older, did I? I'm not going to celebrate the fact I'm seventeen and eleven months next month, eh? So why bother celebrating an annual thing? Yeah, I thaught nobody'll understand this... so anyways.

I'm going to apollogise for the, lets just say, the injection of the drug known to us as patheticilin that has entered my blogging system. For some reason my mind has not allowed me to see anything apart from death, sadness and playing Sultains Of Swing on Guitar Hero. But yeah, sorry bruv. =).

In other news. I've got myself a new blues thing going on on the bass. And it uses slap techniques. Fuck aye. Also, I learned a new scale. Yeah, no prize for guessing which one (yeah, 'tis the blues scale). Well, I think I've learned that scale. At least on the bass I have. Ah well, that's four out of only enter-name-of-your-religious-being-here knows.

Meh, I think I should end it here. The post, I mean.

Is it just me, or are my posts becoming shorter? Well, I suppose that's good news for you, you can now watch the X Factor for the seventeenth time in the matter of two days thanks to the joys of ITV.

Anydice. Bye bye, ye olde companion of thy journey to bloggage paradise.

Death Of A D Stringed Encore....

Yep, no idea if the title actually makes sense there.

Basically, my guitar (well, my sister's guitar) has lost a string, a D string. Sob sob. And it's an Encore guitar...

So yeah...

Uneventful blog so far.

One question though... what's the weirdest music video you've seen?

For me... it's the new Rammstein video for their new song... 'Pussy'.

I would place a link here to the video... but if your parants or younger siblings aren't around... watch it. It's a funky tune. Just ignore the bandmembers banging some women... such is the joys of extreme music videos...

So yeah, it's one in the afternoon. How swell is that?

Not much else to say really. Muse's new music video's been released. It's not bad. Haven't heard all of it, just half. But I've liked what I've heard so far. Looks like Muse is doing it again. Woop. Paramore's new album'll be out next week (I think the twenty-nineth?), so not long now... hopefully the album'll follow Ignorance's vibe.

In other news. I have found my charger for my shaver. WOOP. Now all I have to do it charge the fecker.

Oh yeah, this past week was, what I shall call as the 'when's the next one?' week. Why? Z, your turn... sorry, shite joke there. Anycucumber, it's because on Thursday night, there was a party for the sixth form, and I stayed home, watching Mock The Week. Brilliant. Next day, I was the first to arrive at school. But as the trickles of drunkards arrived, the birth of the upmost dread came to be. Oh last night was SOOOOOO fun! I like drunk a WHOLE BOTTLE of J2O! I was totally gazeeboed!. Well, not like that. That's a major exaguration. But the idea applies.

But yeah, it wasn't as bad as I thaught it would've been, but then again the Chemistry class went to Cardiff Uni for some Chemistry learnage, so it wasn't as bad as other times. But that question always arrived. 'When's the next one? I wanna get ratarsed again'. Then the whole 'there should be one a month' suggestion appeared. Meh, not really going to comment on that. But yeah, since this year is the year of the eighteenth birthday, there's going to be a shitload of times when 'when's the next one?' will be repeated. Ah well...

So yeah, looks like the nex one might be roughly around the last week of October. I just hope that the week after's a half-term... I can only hope, right?

Back to something that will make you drone even further. GUITAR HERO. =).

Nah, only messing with you. I won't say anything about it. Apart from this, the next one should have Slipknot's Psychosocial as a track. That would be good, well I think that anyways. Do you?

Oh, look at me, asking my readers questions... how original am I?

This post seems short to me... so I'll make it that little bit longer with a video. And no it's not the Rammstein one. Also am I spelling Rammstein right?...

IT'S MOCK THE WEEK, BABY!!

=).

So yeah, goobdye!

- Finissimo.

It Started With A Kiss.

Er. Actually it started with a C power chord... but it didn't have the same pulling factor to get people to read the post. So if you've been fooled. HA!

Anyways. The first full week of school has been, went and taken 168 hours of my life. Felt like every Physics lesson with Humphreys added another three hours onto that. And Charlie's lessons added at least an hour also. So it felt more like 171 hours. But hey ho, lets go.

Finally, the Music Technology coursework's been published yesterday (that's friday to the people who could read this in the future). To be fair, it's not what I was hoping...

The first task, is (to put it simply) to recreate a song in midi form, matching both rhythms and sounds to the original. This time we've got a choice between Superfreak by Rick James or Heart Of Glass by Blondie. I've gone against the majority of the class and decided to do the Blondie song, simply because I like it more. Lovely. I'm just hoping that the song doesn't turn out as annoying as what Tainted Love (last year's coursework) ended up as (Living End's version of the song's my favorate version. Especially with that bass).

Task number two, is basically a carbon copy of what last year's was. This time we have to record a performance of a song that lasts between three and five minutes. I'm toying around with the thaught of playing with this song... and this time, I've embedded the video into my blog. Go me.

I'm sorry that it's a Guitar Hero one. And no, it's not me playing it. I can get 100% on this song, and is it just me or this version (amercain) is different to the European one? I just remember it differently, well that might be because it's on Rock Band 2 as wel. Ah well, at least this shows what the song is. I would've stuck the original music videeo, but the only one I can find didn't let me embed it. Any-enter-something-funny-by-here, about Music Tech. At least eight tracks have to be recorded using microphones, with at least twelve tracks overall. Four of the eight microphone tracks have to be either orchestral/acoustic instruments or percussion. So I've gone with the acoustic one...

And, if you've heard the song before, there aren't really any acoustic intruments there. That's where the joys of changing clean electric guitars to acoustic guitars come in. One down, three to go. Then an idea came into my head, what about either a piano or a harp for the intro? So that's what I'm going to do, the harp for the intro riff, with the piano doing the thing in the second verse part. So that leaves me with one track in need of acoustic fillage. If using acoustic drums are acceptable, then I'm fine, but I doubt that'll work. So, the only thing I can think of is a fidle-type intrument to play the same notes as the bass while the piano does it's thing. Woop, four instruments elegible for the song. Joy.

Oh, rambled on a tad that last post, sorry for that.

The last task is basically a composition task. We have a choice of three briefs this year, but that's another story. Ahem. The first one is basically do six short songs (or shongs) for a cartoon. The second one's basically compose music for a piece of poetry (which they chose a rather emo one, regretably), while the third one is to use samples to potray your feelings towards Obama's presidency. I've gone with the second one. Which, everyone in the class'll call me emo more often. I've actually got a vocal line for the song, only if we're allowed to change the order of the song. If not, I'm fucked.

End of rambling man. Ah, good link to my next part...

Yes.

Guitar Hero 5.

A thousand percent improvement on what World Tour is. Graphics have become more realistic, more sleek. Gameplay's roughly the same, but the charts seemed to have gotten more fun to play (Smells Like Teen Spirit and Song 2 are pretty funky to play when the volume's up). Even the randomness of Elton John and Marvin Gaye's addition to the setlist's added a nice alternative to the whole guitar-driven list. But the best feature (so far, I've only had it for a couple o' days), is the GHJam feature. Basically they've added backing tracks, and you can just go nuts on your instument, which I think is pretty cool. Maybe you could just have that looped while you jam to it on real guitar. Ah, how I bet you've missed Guitar Hero parts of my blogs...

But, talk about bullshit. Guitar Hero:Van Halen's coming out. I saw this offer. It's a good'un too. Basically, you get GH5, you get GH:Van Halen for free. That's fourty quid for two new games. Jesus! I instantly went to get the offer...

Until... I read the T&C's...

Good for US only.

WANKERS.

That's just bastardish.

Ah well, that's enough for Guitar Hero talk. I shall refrain from blogging about it for a while, hopefully.

So, that's the end of this post. I shall end the post with some wise words from the mouth of Frankie Boyle himself...

I'm not a dwarf, I'm a lesbian

An Ode To No-One.

For some reason, I've gotten really into lyrics, of other people's creation. My post title, I believe, is a song by the Smashing Pumpkins, on the 'Infinite Sadness' album (the same album as 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings'). So yeah, that's the blog title today.

I was going to write something about death, 'cause for some reason it's been on my mind since about a week ago, but since it's going on for ten, I don't want to start typing about it (well, I was going to say talk about it, but you can't hear my voice... at least that's a plus side for all you readers...), because if I do, it'll be on my mind all night and I won't be able to sleep for ages. Y'know, my brain's a bastard like that... Anyways.

This has turned into a picture post now. I would've said 'picture perfect post', but what is perfection?... shite, does anyone really care?

By the by, I shall carry on. I've done two desktop backgrounds (or wallpapers, for you hip old-schoolers who play solitair on their Windows 98's). So, here's the first...

CrazyDistortion Gone Blueish Thing

One thing, don't ask me who the girl is in the background, I can't remember myself. Just found the image on a site and thought about editing it, and finally did when doing this image. This is maybe the most 'blue' image I've done. Y'like? =).

Next.

Welcome To Hell Mk I

Yeah, such a happy thing. I only did this in like, an hour or so. And it shows. Anyways, if you're interested in how I did it (and, I'm just guessing, you aren't), it's basically feckloads of overlayed wall and paper textures. Used some brushes for added grunginess. That's what I do on PhotoShop. Grunge. 'Tis my speciality. Well, it isn't really grunge... just an attempt on it. No idea why I put 'Welcome to hell' on it though, I just thought about it while looking on Abduzeedo, for a lark.

Oh yeah, if you want the full size one, click on the image. It'll take you to my Flickr account. There's only three images on it so far (these two and one of Hayley Williams). Should use it more. I also have DeviantART, but a link to that is on the side where a linke to my RedBubble, MySpace and all that shizz is. So yeah, feel free to critique me. Would be nice, like.

Oh yeah, to dive into infinite sadness further (what a link to the title of the post, hehe), I've got the Ashes Cricket 2009 game. Woooo. I'm pretty shit at it, only managing 100-odd runs on the first go, and losing to Bangladesh (yeah, I was Australia for that go... man, I'm crap). So yeah, must work on that game...

Talking about games... there's a news piece on Ultimate Guitar...

'Kurt Cobain: Your Newest Guitar Hero Character'.

So yeah, Cobain's the second dead person to appear on Guitar Hero, alongside Johnny Cash in Guitar Hero 5 (Jimi Hendrix was the first one, on Guitar Hero World Tour). On that news piece, there are hundreds of different comments on it. Some in favour of it, believeing that the inclusion of Cobain into Guitar Hero 5 will be benificial to Nirvana in a way to spead the bands music further into people's knowledge. While other people believe it's a disgrace, believing that they should leave Cobain to rest in piece, or thinking this is a way for Courtney Love to earn more money from his name, or explaining that Cobain was against this type of commersialism. Other people were saying that he doesn't deserve to be in it, since that he wasn't the best guitarist.

And yes, that last sentance is true. Though, Cobain was a far superior lyricist. Lithium is a good example of it, in my opinion. So is Come As You Are, and Rape Me... But then again, those are my opinions...

Anywotsits, while people were saying all those things about Cobain's inclusion into Guitar Hero 5, one thing they were pleased about. Matt Bellamy of Muse will be in it, along with the song 'Plug In Baby'. Yeah, it's a good thing, though, I think it would've been better to have all bandmemberes in the game, alongside a song deemed 'harder' in the Guitar Hero ranks. But, that, as they say, is that.

I must dash. Well actually I've got a bit of a beard, but hey ho. Lets go.

PS - Happy 17th birthday to RuhBuhJuh for this Monday. Have a good'un, eh? Hehe.

My End, It Justifies My Means. All I Ever Do I Delay...

Fuck the whole 'no posts for a while' thing.

I will warn you, I've nearly finished writing another song (well, it's more randomly pressing numbers into Guitar Pro and hoping they'll sound alright together), and there's a chance that I'll upload them onto the net. Yes, not only do I penertrate your monitors with my lifeless blog posts and skill-less photo and video edits, I must destroy every sense possibly and upload music I've 'created' for your eardrums to pound an enormous headache for you. Just be glad I'm not going to cook you dinner. If I did, it'll be a microwavable pizza.

Matthew Evans, a dude I hang around with in school (by the way, hi Matt. (=. ), requested that I should minimize the amount of Guitar Hero I should mention. And I agree. This'll be the last time I'll say anything Guitar Hero-ie in a while (well, until the fifth one's in my possession). Just to answer the thing I said in the last post. Finally got Guitar Hero III, and I managed to do Raining Blood on Expert. Four stars too....

Yeah, it's true. I haven't left my house since school ended. The furthest I've been out of my house is down by the steps to hand my sister the baby seat so then Ricky (if I haven't said before, he'd be my two year old nephew). It's basically the same order in the day for me. Wake up roughly sevenish, or eleven at the latest. Watch tellie until the news comes on. Go on a Guitar Hero. Get off the XBox. Sit around, watching tellie. Pick up the bass/guitar. Turn my laptop on to make layout/finish song/search something online (can only do one of those three right). Stay online until one. Try to sleep (which might be at two, as a guess). And during then I have something to eat either once or twice in the day. Oh, it's also sad that I actually kind of know whats happening on Emmerdale, Corronation Street and Eastenders. So, er.... someone help me? =).

Yeah, I'll post the link to the profile where I've post the midi files. Most probably it'll be on my Ultimate Guitar profile (if you can guess my username, then your almost as sad as me for having it). It might be tomorrow actually.

Oh, three pieces of trivia for you...

- This is my (I think) twenty fifth post. Yey.
- Most of my songs are in a Be Bop scale. Not sure the definition is of it is, but the C Be Bop scale consists of the following notes: C, D, E, F, G, A, A#, B, C. So, if anyone's got a definition of what a Be Bop scale is, then please let me know. =).
- Apparently, sperm speed is affected by the attractiveness of a woman... don't ask me how I know... I haven't done any sick experiments, okay?

Most probably I'll see you tomorrow (well, talk to you... well add text to my blog and hope that a few people actually read it).

What Happens When You Pour Detol Into A Yakult?...

I lied... I only lasted four days (ish) without possessing the pixels of your monitor last.

Well, it's a couple of days in to the school holidays now, and to be fair I've acutally done something. I know, I'm shocked too. Well, even though it's just a song I made up... it's actually three and a half minutes long... it's the most productive I've been in a summer holidays ever. That's well radical. Maybe. Anyways, it's also carries another achievement for me, it's the first one that's fully an acoustic song... apart from the distorted guitar doing the solo. And that's another thing, it's the first solo that I might be able to actually play it! And if you've heard my rendition of Dido's 'No Angel' recreated to 80's Rock for my Music Tech coursework, you'll know how out-of-place it is, well, the tapping part is anyways. Anyways, there's a downfall to it, it also holds a real pop feel. Y'know, something Take That might bring out, without the solo, obvliously. Please correct me if I've spelled obvliously wrong either time I wrote it.

Also, I've nearly changed my mind on what song I'll do for my A level coursework in Music Tech from Stone Sour's 'Through Glass' to 'Today' by Smashing Pumpkins - and I just had the random thaught of the words 'Smashing Pumpkins' look really cool in this font. The vocals aren't too adventurous, drums seem do-able, the guitars are relatively simple (though I can't do the solo, man I is shit on guitar), and the bass is easy (er, Billie Jean's bassline is harder than this song, now that's saying something). A couple of problems, mind...

The first one is, I've only got one out of the four acoustic instrument out of the original song, which is an acoustic guitar for the verses, and well althrough the song. If I do 'Today', then I have an idea to jump over this three-storey hurdle. That is, the use of a piano, a violin..... and a harp. Yes, a harp. How stupid would any harpist look at you with if you ask them to do the main riff of 'Today' for eight bars. They'd laugh in your face (which, I'm expecting). Maybe same for piano, well and for violin. 'Cause with the violin, I'm only going to use it for the second verse. But, then again, they will all count as acoustic instruments. Another problem though... does anyone know how to record a harp? I mean, do you place the mic close to the strings, the soundboard (is it even called that?) or somewhere else? How many mics am I supposed to use to record the harp? Yeah, you can tell I thaught this through... but anyways. Anybody who could help me with this (either you can play the violin, or know how to record a harp), then feel free to tell me. =). T'would be great, butt.

Er. Nothing else really. I've gone a little bit further into Prototype. Its safe to say that I am rubbish at that game, the only thing I'm good at is running up walls and consuming people.... man, that's fun. Oh yeah, I've also been overdosing on That Mitchell And Webb Look. I've only known about it like, a week ago. Thank fuck for YouTube.

Well, this is finito for another round.

G'night, dude.

PS - Dara O'Briain is brilliant at stand-up. Period. =).

In Science And In Medicine. I Was A Stranger, You Took Me In...

Crunchtime.

Final Stage - Another One Bites The Dust.

Yeah, so it's officially arived. Now all's I have to do is wait until the twentieth of August to receive my two science A Level results from school, which'll be open at like, eight, nine-ish. Not forgetting the Music Tech one, which I'll have access to at six in the morning of the same day (digital, that's edexcel for ya). Then after that it'll be a shorter wait for the first friday of September (which I think might be my sister's birthday...), so we can return to school. I'm not even going to go into the whole 'why on a friday' thing... grrrr.

Today weren't bad. Only had one lesson, which was twenty minutes of Physics. Then since nobody went to Music Tech, that was free (like it wasn't since the exams). Managed to do a bit for my personal statement. And won a game of Shithead. Brilliant.

The end-of-year service was shocking, mind. First off, no Welsh anthem at the end? Please. That's like, unnatural. Well, thank fuck there wasn't much singing, compared to the Christmas service. Secondly, no news on who one the 'best house of the year'? That's outragous! Hehe. Well, we all know Dafydd would've ended up as low as Paris Hilton's lingerie... while Owain or Iolo would've been as high as Obama's approval ratings. Or is that the other way around?... We'll never know...

Came home early from school, which is a bummer. Well, for me anyways. But, on the plus side, I got myself an awesome game. PROTOTYPE, BABY!! =). Man, the main character must be the most fun main character to play as in a game... it's like he can't die from jumping off a skyscraper, yet five bullets from an M4 and half a rocket could end you. Man, that's manic. I advice you to get it. Pronto. It does remind me of something like Devil May Cry-meets-Spiderman. Now, that's a good mix.

And that's it for the five a week postings.... for now.

Might miss out for a while. Or wait until one of the blogs I'm following post a new post...

For the time being, and as a member of Six-one for the last time.

Nacht.

And No-One Else Will See, The Preservation Of The Martyr In Me...

One day to go...

Stage four - The Final Countdown.

Well, I would've called it 'a mushroom party', but nah, that's shaite...

So, why 'the final countdown', I hear you ask? Well, even if you didn't ask, I'll tell you anyways.

For one, it was playing while we were playing random card games in the Uned. Even played poker with actual betting... well, with Skittles, that the deputy headmaster ate one of... and it was a high priced skittle... damn him. Ah well, managed to get two three-of-a-kind's in a row... then a four of a kind... pity we weren't betting then... I'd be in the rainbow then, (=.

Reason two, there's only like, five hours roughly left of my year twelve being... Though this never bothered me before (like, year seven, eight, nine and so on and so forth), it does now since there's like fourty weeks left of my school education. Fourty-odd anyways. Not sure exactly how many. Haven't counted to be honest with you. Yet.

Ah well, I'm going to fail once I get to Uni.... IF I get to uni....

Oh yeah, les joures de amusant was today (yeah, before you meantion it, I know it's wrong, and I know it says 'a day of amusement' instead of 'fun day', that's why I never will take French again). It weren't bad, really. Was funny watching people get hit by sponges. Especially when it hit them in their neather-reigions... and their bollocks. I was only the sponge collector. Ah well, I wasn't even supposed to do anything, but since the bands sorted themselves out, I was free. Woop. But still, t'was marginally better than I thought it would be.

Ah yeah, News is on. John Hartson's got testicular cancer that's spread to the brain. Hope you get better dude....

That's it for today. Tomorrow will be the last one of these five day blogs (thank fuck, I bet you just said to yourself). Might be called something like 'Final Frontier' or something less interesting like 'Oh look, A Bumblebee...'.

Surrender. Surrender. But Don't Give Yourself Away...

Two days to go.

Stage three - Personal (Under)Statement.

And yet I haven't been banned from Blogger for posting useless posts... nice.

Nothing much happened today. It was just another day of nothingness until I had a lesson. Yeah, that's happiness for you.

I tried to make a personal statement for my UCAS thing... I'm going to be so bad at it. Why? Well for one the only thing that links to the course that I want to do is the fact that I can play bass guitar up to GreenDay standard. Whoa, that's going to reel the offers in. I might just give up on it and write it as if I was C3PO or something. 'Cause we're both alike... apart from the fact that he can speak many a language fluently and I can only manage English at key stage two standard. Yeah, that is what hardly going out does to you. =). But one thing's for sure, I really hope that the Atrium like me enough to lower my points needed from 300 to 60. And even then I'll need to work hard...

It was the same old song and dance today, apart from the fact some people went off to watch 'Harry Potter and the sixth year in a row that someone'll make a joke about a ginger having two friends'. Yes, that's the actual title of it. Well, no it's not. But it's the truth. Though I don't get this hairist view against gingers... there's worse people.... I mean, c'mon... people who dye their hair? Please.... *shifty eyes*.

That, was hysterical. If your comedy levels are between 'watching George Bush choking on a pretzel is humourous' and 'everything Boris Johnson says is like poetry in motion written by the Joker himself'.

Oh yeah, made myself look like a right digital cock this afternoon... not good...

Ah well, this is a short one, bit much like an average sixformer's attention span.... oh look, a bumble bee...

Anyways, a guess at tommorow's title might be something on the lines of 'Prototype Present'. Hopefully. I want that game. Looks dead cool, man.

C'ya, m'ladies.... or whatever your name is...

=).

The World Is A Vampire...

Three days to go...

Stage two - Mad Dog.

Yeah, I wasn't lying when I said I'll post everyday this week... =).

What did I do today? Fuck all, to be fair. The only lesson I had was double Music Technology, which was more eventful than finding Jesus on the fifty pence piece. Apart from someone (...) giving me jip just 'cause I play my bass/guitar rather low compared to everyone else. Really, will it kill him? No. So, why complain? Ah well, shaite like that happens.

Other than that, everything was a normal day at the office. Apart from fourth lesson the one's from art found a toy called Mad Dog (ah, I just remembered Mad Dog's on GTA:San Andreas...). It amused them for like, quarter of an hour? Bloody hell. Then it was a Nintendo DSi (the one with the camera, is that called the DSi?...) that occupied their attention. Then the rest is the same as always. Went out for food, sat around listening to other people's conversations while talking rarely, thinking way too much, and sitting down in a way that made me look like I was about to give birth to an elephant. Last lesson was alright on the whole, was back up in Music, it was. Just fucked around on the guitars and piano/keyboard with no amps. I know, I'm surprised too. Well, I like acoustic sounds. I hardly ever use the amp in my room (it's a really small bass amp... happy days). To me, an electric guitar played acousticaly has a cool sound to it....

One thing that's bothering me is... grrr. On the bus home, for most of it, all I could think of is the thing that happened three months ago. I have no idea why though. Am I jealous? Am I paranoid? Am I in need of a brain transplant? The answer to the last one is a definate yes. Not so sure of the other two though. I hope I'm not. Though, as ever with me, there's a good possibility that I have those bad characteristics cemented forever in my name. Bloody hell. Wish I could actually talk about it and not feel like I usually do... grrrrr.

Once again, the rain is falling, falling, oh ever falling from the patchy quilt we call the sky like... er, well, rain falling from the sky... yeah, that's the sort of skills that got me a C in English Literature. Fuck aye.

Well. I have a feeling tomorrow's post will be called Sold Out, or some insanely boring title like that.

Oh, before I go.... watch this. He's an amazing bassist. Not a bad singer either. =).

"One Baby To Another Says, I'm Lucky To Have Met You"

I shall be frank, well to be fair it's better than being Gareth... damn, I despise the name...

To be fair like, I'm starting to take a real disliking to modern life... It's like, nearly everything these days is about looks, or things that's happening this minute or what happened three days ago, because it was so hilarious/shocking/epic. To be fair, who really cares in the long run? Just because you went out on a night on the tiles, doesn't mean it's good to brag at the fact that 'I had three Carlings and was only slightly hammered'. Yeah, like drinking pissloads of toxins makes you a God amongst men all of a sudden. I can't really imagine, milleniums ago, that stone age dudes were bragging about how many times they had sex with their partners, or how many partners they've had. Big fucking deal.

'Ah, your just jealous because you're still a virgin'....

Yeah, and? Sorry, that was a thing someone said to me on the bus. She was in year seven. That's like twelve, thirteen years old. And she's trying to make me feel bad because I haven't bowed down to peer pressure and bonk the nearest harlet who'd give blowjobs for a packet of Wotsits. I know, I'm going to sound pathetic, but I want my first time to be special, well... with someone I actually care about, be that this year or in ten, twenty years time. How would you feel if you popped your cork for the first time, realising three days before that, the person your cork was popped by had some sort of desiese that made you infertile, or worse could kill you, and you only realised that after you had a test before you tried to start a family with someone you love? Yeah, that's a nice thing to say to your future partner. "Sorry love, no kids for us. I let my shaft rule my head and now I have an uncurable desiese that will eventually kill me in these next few months. On the plus side, you'll get most of my life earnings because you have nice tits"... and no, I'm not like that. I don't mind saying it, or being like that. I hate it though when people try to put me down because of it... or because it's for religious reasons...

If you are religious, please understand that this next paragragh or two is only MY OPINION. If you go all 'BLAH BLAH BLAH YOUR WRONG INNEH BECAUSE GOD IS REAL BECAUSE WE WOULDN'T BE HERE IF HE WEREN'T', you just prove how blinkered your vision is. Because there is more prove to it, I believe that the big bang theory happened, though I wonder what made it. Was it some clouds of gas that existed there before the big bang randomly exploded? Did God (or whoever you believe in) set everything ready, and just pressed a 'generate' button on his version of Windows (or Mac, depending on your outlook on life)? Or did some mythical creature randomly light a fart and aimed it at a blank canvas? See, nobody really knows, innit? And talking about God and that, and I admit I will sound like a pathetic child for this, I don't believe in the same God that Christians, or any religion, does. That said, I do actually believe that something is up there. Yes, I may call him/her God, but he is (again with the patheticness) my God. He's (I'll call God a male for the duration now, less typing, though I believe God can be either male or female) not this ideal being that has not sinned, lived or died. He's this real person, not really having a face that I've seen before (let me guess what your thinking "Gareth's a nut, I knew it", I'm not... much of one anyways), that's actually been on earth, actually seen the same views that I can/will see, even inhaled the same air as I will. Someone who actually has made many more mistakes than you and I will ever do. A human that's done all of this, yet with none of this 'saviour' stuff. And someone who doesn't need to be worshipped endless times a year. You might think now, "That's a bit lazy, Ga", well no it's not. Well, I don't believe so. Just because that if I worshipped God (I'm on about all types now) in a different way than what is expected, then I will be shunned for all eternity and a half. Maybe this is my way of worshipping, maybe actually being alive is worship in itself.

And, like many people in the world, I have majorly contradicted myself, and, unlike many people, I shall admit that with all the strenght that I have (though that's not much, so text'll have to do). Because I accept all the stuff scientists said. I admit that the universe is ever expanding, that the mere fact of us being alive is a lottery that we won. Fuck, I'm bloody taking Chemistry and Physics, for crying out loud! Also, if someone comes up to me, talking about religion, and talking about why they believe in their religion, I will happily listen. But the moment you try to force your beliefs onto me, or try to convert me into your way of thinking, then I instantly shut down all emotion and basically ignore you, not taking anything in. I'm more than happy to understand other cultures more, and that has no word of a lie in that last comment.

That's the religion bullshit done with for now, jsut got a couple of things I feel like I've got to say....

First thing is, basically it about food, and the reasons why I don't eat the 'average amount of food for my age'. Basically, I just see it as a resourse. Food is some items that must be comsumed to gain energy, nutrience and any other helpful stuff. Though I don't see the point in eating food for the sake of it. Before, when I was talking to my mother, she said "you're just like my grandfather". Like me with a pastie a day, he used to have the same meal for years on in. "I asked him why, he replied 'I don't live to eat, I eat to live'", or something along those lines. And that's exactly it. I must eat to stay alive. If we didn't have to eat to live, I wouldn't eat. Or eat as little as possible. Again, this might sound pathetic to you. To be fair, if it does, I'm not bothered. It's my way of thinking, at least we have that these days, innit?

Also, I want to apologise. Apologise to basically everyone. I know I can be a prick at times (at times? And the rest...), and I can honestly say that I don't mean to. I guess I'm slightly illiterate in the social scene (I couldn't think of a word other than illiterate there). Also, the fact that, y'know, just go quiet for no reason whatsoever. It pisses me off to. Lastly, I'm sorry for the fact that I may say sorry over and over. I do feel that I have to constantly apollogise for everything I do/say/think/feel. That's it for the apologies things.

That pretty much covers a lot of things that's built up in me for a long time, apart from one major thing. Though I doubt that'll never come to life online, only by word to someone I feel I can trust them. Only thing really to say about it the title. It's the first line to a Nivarna song, called 'Drain You'. It's a brilliant song from a band that achieved so much, even after they disbanded.

Yep, that's it now. I jsut realised the paragraph that I was apologising in reads like a suicide note. Shit. There is no way I am going to commit suicide. Trust me.

That's all folks.

C'ya.

Thou Shalt Not Post Blogs At An Upmost Rapid Haste...... Bastard.

I've kinda gone blog mad, eh? Ah well, nawt else to do now other than endure six weeks of A level work. Joy. This is literaly how, for one, how bad my spelling and punctuation is, and two how much contact I have with my friends outside of school. Take now, for instance. Three people are on MSN, nobody's talking to me. Sob sob. Then again, I've only got like thirteen people on my contact list. Can't be arsed to have people that I never see on my MSN. It's like buying a pack of fruit pastils, just to have ONE of them. Where's the point in that?

Anyways, enough of my lack of MSN usage. One thing I don't understand, and maybe you might help me with this one (shite, I'm talking to my blog, help?). England just slightly destroyed Andora or some place like that in football. Even though it was on like half an hour ago, on ITV1, they are still playing the highlights in ten minutes. I mean, why the figity fuck? They could have at least put it on like ITV3 or something. Ah fuck it. What's my ranting going to do, eh?

This, is going to sound pathetic. Most likely your response would be 'when don't you sound pathetic?'. Ah well. Apart from realising that I have used the term 'ah well' too many times in recent posts, I've also realised that everytime one small thing happens, I just feel all weird. Like I see one photo and I have the same feelings and thoughts coming up. They both have the 'oh shit' term surrounding it. No idea why this is happening. Though these things go when I see the same thing for a second, third time. Yeah, I know. Pathetic.

To be fair like, these posts I've done that have been closer together and have been shorter. Ah well. There's that phrase again. Expect a long one soon. Maybe if I think of something shaite, I'll try a short story. Don't expect anything better than the other two. I've still got less skill when it comes to writing than I do with playing guitar.

That'll be all, though if you would like to stay, please feel free to have a virtual cookie or seven.

Guten Nacht, homie.
