Blog Post: A New Update

Every time I start to write something for this, I instantly have Comfortably Numb in my head.

This is just a short update, considering I wanted to post at least once a month and haven't done one for July. Sorry if nothing in this post is informative.

But before I start, Google - adding that nav bar onto Blogger has just totally shat over a decent design. Grr.

Anyway, it seems that my days on earth revolve around rendering. Not complaining, it's just that it feels like I'm wasting a lot of time because my computer's just stuck in that state of rendering for the majority of its life now.

In other news, might have already said it, but I've passed my second year in university with a 2:1. None of my marks for my assignments are lower than a 2:2, and I still managed a first in one module. Win.

In other university news, it looks like I am definitely having a year off to work in industry. Half with ProMo Cymru, half with Burning Red. First half concentrating on video shit, the other on everything else. I consider this a massive win.

CLICvlogs are being a bit rocky as of late, just due to people slating them like right motherlovers. Kind of wish other people would start emailing in and wanting to be part of it. Ah well, at least I have (for some reason) a group of people who want to be part of the project. Hopefully they'll be in it for the long run.

Also, would it be worth making a Facebook page for the CLICvlogs? I'm tempted, but I'm rather unsure if it's worth it or not.

In other news that will only make sense to me, I thought of a saying today. Coward or failure.

Basically, run away and not try, or try and fail. It totally shows my optimism where cowardice and failure are the only options, eh?

Today, I chose failure.

But, not sure it's lucky or not, I didn't even have the chance to fail.

Yey.

What else. Oh, I shall be attending the National Eisteddfod for the first time this year, which will be interesting. Will be going as work, but I'm not complaining, at least I have a reason to be there, ya?

Yes, this is a short post. Will write a less selfish post one day next week. Probably. If I remember.

Insert An Interesting Title About University Here

This week has been... er... weird.

Well, I say this week, I actually meant today.

Fuck, I really need to find ways to improve my word count other than blatantly lying to my audience.

Anyway, hello. This morning, as I woke up, I gazed upon my phone to see if I had any emails. I had one from one of the admin dudes in university, so I assumed that it was just another day in the office.

Then I noticed the subject. Then took notice of the content of the email.

Basically, they are asking my permission for them to use the work that I created for my course to show potential students what can be achieved in the course. Or something.

And I honestly have no idea what I think of this.

Obviously, I gave my permission. I have no problem with anyone using my work for advertising proposes, as long as they credit me, that's fine.

But the thing is, I'm questioning myself over this. Have they asked because they think that my work is really good? Or did they pick names at random and unfortunately for them, mine came up?

I don't know. I'm just finding it difficult that they'd say that my work is worthy for use as promotion for the course. Maybe if they were using it as a this is what students in our course who received a certain grade has created or something with far better grammar. I need a day job.

In other news, I suspected that my grades were updated, and they had. Remember the assignment I had to do? You know, the investigation into 3D theory? Well, in that module (which I think is falled Graphic Design Technology and Integration) I have earned a 2:1. Considering this was one of the modules I was shakey at (due to my lack of experience with After Effects and everything 3D), I'm bloody ecstatic over this.

Maybe having a 2:1 overall this year is possible, eh? Who knows.

In other news, the CLICvlogs are somehow getting popular. Well, what I consider popular for something that's only been live for less than half a year. One of the videos on CLICplay has had nearly fifty likes on Facebook. That's insane, that.

Also, for future me, stop being such a twat. But if something happens, update me, ya?

And that, as they say, is that.

Pixel You In

Oh, how do I think of these blog names...

Anyway, this blog is just to ask you something.

What do you think of this?

DC1S01 Sound Sync Animation from Gareth Aled John on Vimeo.

This is a rubbish version of the final project for university. I was supposed to do a 60-90 second animation on either sound syncing (matching imagery to sound) or moving picture (having an image and animating it), using Adobe's After Effects to create the animation.. As you can tell, I went for the sound syncing option.

I had no idea what to do. Then, I though fuck it, I'll do it about Wicid. So, this is my university assignment about advertising Wicid. Ha.

For some cocking reason, it didn't upload in widescreen format. It turned it into 4:3 ratio. No idea why. I would up it onto YouTube, but it'll be taken down due to it having a song by Gob called Face The Ashes. Grr to them, I say.

Anyway, what do you think of it? Any good? I know that the text's a bit odd and slightly shit, I honestly has no idea what to write for it.

In other news, I'm off to Sealyham tomorrow for a residential with Wicid. Should be decent. I'll write something about it when I get back.

Ah, a nice short update here. Lovely.

Death Of A Better Man

I'll be honest with you, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I don't mean for writing this blog, I mean in general.

I've finished university for the year. As in, the first term of university has been and gone. What do I have to show for it? A Macbook, a Web Premium suite for the Mac and the newest Guitar Hero game. Yes, it is a lovely thing.

Luckily I have finally finished the miserable module named Video Production. We finally gave in the final video project last Thursday, meaning all that's left is the dreaded evaluation essay. I mean, what am I supposed to write about? God, this module has just been one enormous patronising pain in the arse since the beginning.

The first day I went in to the lecture, I knew it wasn't going to be a fun module. One of the first things he asked us was who hasn't used a camera before? Because I had no idea what type of camera he meant - a camera they use in television shows, one that records on tape or one like a camera phone - I put my hands up. Then he asked me why I decided to do this module. He asked the same about who's edited video before. Again, I stuck my hand up (as the only editing I've done is on Movie Maker). He asked the same question, why are you doing this module?

I had the urge to go on a mad one. Well, not a mad one, more like a rather polite yet assertive one. First off, I didn't chose to do this module, it was more like an annoyance more than anything. Second of all, since this is the first year of the module it means that it's more of an introduction than anything else, so it is to be expected that most of us hadn't used cameras or edited video before. Grrr.

I'll be honest, I really do not understand why some people can be an artistic snob. Okay, I understand when they go in about the colours and all that jazz, but not when they compare the light to a passage from the dictionary. It makes no sense.

Meh.

In other news, I have three extensions for different assignments. Since my lecturer's wife gave birth to a baby, I have an extension that I badly needed for Internet Technology and Media for Applications. The other is because of the snow. Lovely.

So yeah, a few weeks after beginning university and all I have to show for it is a few assignments and a story about going to Hooters for the first time. Nice.

One thing I noticed mind, is that there's hardly any difference between university and school. In my class, there's a definite split between the popular people and the others, quite like the split that was in my year in school. There are lessons (even if they are called lectures, they are still lessons of sorts). The only major difference for me is that you have less time in university (seventeen hours in university compared to about thirty in school). Other than that, it's all the same. Maybe it is because I live at home.

So yeah, a term of university down, and I'm at that point in the year where I'm somewhat cut off from the world. As I see Christmas and the New Year just as an excuse to get urinated, I just stay away from it all, meaning that I lose touch with people who I actually like. Sometimes I hate my train of thought. Hang on, most of the time. Grr.

In other news, I kind of realised that the only reason I went to university is to avoid going into full time work. Well, that's not completely true. I did want a good education, but also I just saw it as the next stage of life. Since everyone in the sixth form were going on about going to university, so I did. I followed the higher education crowd. Maybe, it would've been a wiser decision to go to collage first and then university. Why? I don't feel mature enough for university. I still don't think I am.

I'll be honest, I apologise for the rather shite blog post. I shall leave you now.

Eight And Twelve

You may be wondering, why I called this blog post Eight And Twelve, yes? Thought not. Anyway, it has something to do with binary.

In a four-bit binary code, what is eight symbolised as? Well, its 0100. And what a coincidence, this is my hundredth blog post.

And it is at this point, that I would like to apologise for all the crap that you've had the misfortune to grace your screen. One hundred posts in under two years, there's something sad about that fact, yes?...

So, you might have guessed what twelve is about? Yes, binary again. Twelve in binary is 1000, which leads me to the news that in December, I hit 1,000 views since I started the Blogger In Draft thing late June. That's mad, that. Thanks to everyone who has taken their time to read this blog. I know that most of them have decided to stop reading my dreary posts, but thanks to those anyway. =].

One thing that happened recently, that I'm not sure that I mentioned, is that I was the joint winner of Clic's Best Overall Contributor award, along with a girl from Neath Port Talbot who laughed quite a bit while taking photos of people. The reason I won this is because I do a lot for Wicid, being sub-editor, looking after Wicid's social networking accounts and writing shitloads for the site. I've written eight Dear World articles (which I cannot be arsed to post), with half of them going up to Clic, so they must be good.

Not only that, but out of the seven that has been made live on Wicid, they have had over 1,500 views. Not bad, considering my writing skills aren't the best thing. Not sure if they take Clic views into account also, but who cares? =].

In other news, I had my first assignment back. It was for Video Production (the shit one, y'know... Documenting a Space). The module leader talked to me about the film, saying that I documented a place, not a space. Grr. I thought they were the same thing. Anywho, he also told me that I was too cautious with my filming. I was filming the Taff Trail, maybe if I filmed the inside of Al Qaeda's base, that would still be too cautious for him. Ah well, I still passed the assignment, mind. I had to get 40% to pass, I got 53%. I'm not bothered about the relatively low mark, as this is a really dull module. But on the plus side, we do get to watch music videos like these...

This is what the group assignment is about. We get to fuck around with all these things. No, we're not allowed to use music, its the whole visual thing. But yeah, I didn't realise how good Vermillion was before watching these videos. Brilliant.

In other news, I wrote an essay on resistors, and I'm expected to write an essay on sound. Lovely. I've also written an essay about file types, and I shall let you know how bad I faired when I have the results.

I shall leave you now, as it's twenty to one, and I have to wake up early for something or other.

Fair the well, fellow humanoid.

Faking It

I just saw the end of a show on the BBC. It was about GCSE students preparing for, and attending, their prom.

I had one thought all the way through the time I watched...

I'm so glad I didn't go to my prom.

Yes. That's right. I believe that my non-appearance at my year's prom night was an advantage for both me, the other prom night goers, and the economy.

One thing that shocked me in the show was the amount of money some people spend on prom stuff. About five hundred quid? Doesn't that seem... I don't know... way too much for one day? Well, except for weddings and the like, that's an understandable occasion for spending large amounts of money for a day.

Granted, five hundred pounds is not considered a large amount of money these days. People seems to flutter that amount of money every week. But to me, its rather a lot.

Luckily, as a human being with testicles and a penis in my trousers, I wouldn't have needed to spend that amount of money on clothes, make up and travel.

Being me, like I am most of the time, I'd look for the most reasonably priced suit (not tuxedo, not a fan of those if I'm honest with you). Not in an attempt to be extraordinarily in being tight with my money, I just didn't (and don't) see the point in throwing away money for something I'd wear once.

Not only that, it cost something on the lines of thirty quid for a meal and some drinks. That seems a lot. But then again, this is from someone who finds ways on getting Pizza Hut for less.

Another reason why I'm happy with the fact that I didn't go to the prom is, well, the whole social thing. I haven't kept the fact that I don't go out and drink a secret. I don't thrive in situations that demand me to make conversation for conversation's sake. What's the point in that? That's one reason why I stay quiet for the majority of the day. If I have nothing of worth to talk about, I'll be quiet. If I have something to ask someone then I'll talk then, or if someone asks me a question.

A great example of this is of me attending my cousin's parents' vow renewals. The service was rather long (but then again, I'm no Christian, and I found the service rather sexist, but that's just my opinion), but when everyone went to eat food was the point where I became undone.

I ended up doing what I've done in every party I've been to. Sit in one spot, watching the others doing what 'normal' people do. My cousin called me normal, when I told her that I wasn't hungry and I only eat when I'm hungry. She was the first person to call me normal for this thought of mine. Anyceremony, everyone was talking to each other, either about the whole marriage thing or some other subject. Me? I just sat in one place.

I also have a thing about eating in public. Yes, I've done it before, but only on some occasions that I do this. One of these occasions is if I'm hungry. Another of these is if I feel comfortable where I am and who I am with. There are other things, but I can't be arsed to go into them deeply.

I also hate the fact that the word arsed is considered wrong by Firefox. Even arse results with the red squiggly line under the word. Ah well.

The final reason, though there are other reasons that I cannot remember properly at this moment in time, is the attention. Yes, I know I wouldn't have a lot of attention, all I know is that I'd have at least a number of people come up to me and try to get me to drink alcohol or to go up and dance. I say no. They either come back with why not?, what a twat or something like that. So what if I'm a twat for having these thoughts on the subjects in question. I'd rather be a twat and remembering what happened than wasting money by drink all night and then forgetting what you did in the morning in the unwelcoming grasp of a hangover.

Oh, I love the sober life, I really do.

Anyway, I know how much this blog post must make me sound like a right wanker who is tight with his money and needs therapy to rid me of abnormal thoughts. Oh, and a little disclaimer, I'm not trying to offend in my posts. If you do get offended, forget about it. What happens when you do get offended? Nothing. You don't suddenly fall pregnant to a giraffe, neither will you lose your genitalia. It's just a thing that goes away after a certain amount of time.

Pretty Vacant

I'll be honest, this has been a slow month for this sorry blog. Not that many of you have noticed. Ah well.

The obvious thing to talk about is the fact that I no longer spell obvious with an l in between the v and the i. It's a small victory for me.

The other thing is university. Its going rather well, to be fair. I'm no longer going for the Welsh version of the Video Production module as it would mean that I would have an eleven-hour day on Mondays next term. And that's not something I want. I rather value my free mornings. =].

Internet Tech's going well. That, Media Tech and Graphics are going really well. Learned how to do a basic webpage, even if it is just a page that says Free Nelson Mandela. Anywho, its progress.

Electronics is a bitch. We've started on building the stylophone. I've nearly burned my hands multiple times as I failed miserably at soldering, and in the lectures all we do is talk about electrons and that, and those lectures are every three weeks. Lovely.

In other news, I have the new Guitar Hero. Its not a bad game, to be fair, though some of the stuff in the game makes sense to me. They made Money For Nothing way longer than it really is, which means playing it on the drums slowly turns into a chore, but that's one small thing. Its a cracking game, to be fair. Could be the hardest band-games (out of the main line of games, as in not GH:Metallica and GH:Van Halen and the like), not sure if its the best Guitar Hero though. Pretty close though. Ho hum, that's the end of that then.

This is just a post that updates you about what's happening in me life thus far. I've kind of ignored my blog (shame on me...) and done a few posts onto Wicid. Either about Stuart Cable's cause of death being revealed, James Blunt and his tactic to make the Taliban to surrender or about Pontypridd YMCA's centenary celebrations. So yeah, lovely.

That'll do for now, pet.

- I want you, to be, left behind those empty FIN.

Walk Of Life

For some reason, this is the only thing I can think of to open this blog. I was going to do the whole 'caring blogger', but then again, you might not think I'm sincere. But yeah, since I've written this paragraph, I've got an opening one. Win win.

Did that make sense to anyone? Probably not. But yeah. Hi. =].

Well, I've actually started the modules of my course. And this is what this post is about. =].

I have six modules for this year (though, for each term I only have to study five, if that makes sense).

I'll start with the most boring one, Video Production. You guessed it, I'll be working with video in this module. But, for some bizarre reason, I have to submit all my work in as MiniDV tapes, which (I believe) would make it harder to work with. I don't know, but I thought working with a digital file would be better than a analogue one (if that is the name of what MiniDV tapes are). Anyfinalcutpro, if you haven't guessed what program I'd be using, I'd be using Final Cut Pro. I've had no experience with it, so that should be interesting.

I have two videos to film. The first one is called Documenting a Space, which sounds like a bitch to do. I have to film a space. That's it. Oh, not only that, I have to record sound too. But, I can't move the camera. No music. No voice-overs. No zoom. Nothing like that. So, I'm rather restricted in what I'm supposed to do with it. Crickey. I'm not entirely sure what the other video is about , all I know is that I'll be working in a group. Nice. But, there's a way to do this module in Welsh, which would be lovely.

I knew this was a BSc degree (Bachelor of Science), but I didn't realise one thing about my course. I have a module in Electronics For Music And Media. The first thing we learned? Ohm's Law. Get in. But then, yesterday, we had to solder. Fuck. I really am crap at soldering. It doesn't help when the fumes affect my asthma. But yeah, we had an hour of trying soldering, but I was shite at it. I mean, I nearly burned myself, and that would've been the first time. But, on the plus side, the first project we're doing for Electronics is to build a stylophone. Oh, happy days.

On the plus side, Internet Technologies looks like a very good module to do. I've already know basic HTML. Not only that, we're learning a bit on the history of the web and other stuff. Bonbon. That module does look like the most interesting out of the five (thus far), the other two being Media Technology For Applications (where we'll be learning about video, flash and some graphics) and Computer Graphics Technology And Integration (which I'll be using PhotoShop, Illustrator and After Effects. Get int). I don't have Radio Production until next term, but I'm not really looking forward to that. Eep.

Well, I shall call another post about university done. Hopefully I will find something in my life not education-related to write about.

But until then.

- Come FIN With Me.

Army Of One

Before you think, I'm going all commando on yer arse. I ain't. It's an attack on Final Fantasy XIII. Yeah, still haven't beat it yet... I suck at it. Still, well good, it is. Well good.

Anyways, a big HARRO to you all. I don't know where that came from, maybe deep inside my pointless brain.. oh, sobsob and a packet of weed.

Easter has been and gone. It's been that time of year where I just stay in my room, overhearing different arguments and the like. Also, my mother decided to rename Good Friday "Jesus Slaughtering Day", while Easter Sunday is now "Jesus Respawn Day". Oh, my mother is a loss to the Christian faith...

I'll be honest, I haven't done much revision as I'd hope. I have read over Chemistry. I think I understand Rhydocs now (redox in english, y'know). If you look at the EMF of the different things, the most positive reaction thing goes to the right, meaning it gets rhydwytho'd. This is the ocsidydd. Yeah. Sorry for the wenglish there... and if there is anything wrong with what I just said. Cemeg nerds, feel free to correct me. =].

I've realised that there is a shitload of things that we are supposed to read up on for Music Tech, like the development of technology, how MIDI is used, and different genres. I are fucked. Not only that, I haven't finished Heart Of Glass yet... though I might scrap it and do SuperFreak instead. Yeah, I think I will.

In other news, I can do a Rubix cube. Yeah. Even if I had to google the algorithms for the parts where I was stuck at. But because I did that, I can do them nearly everytime now. Pretty sad, I grant you. Adding to this sadness is that I've been timed twice. The first time was during 'Awr Fawr' (yeah...), while we were waiting for something or other, I did it in over two and a half minutes. Though, three days later, a boy on the bus I catch home timed me again, this time the clock stopped at two minutes and six seconds. Beat that, society.

I have also written many pointless things for Wicid. None of them to do with RCT. The latest one is this one about the possibility of Bebo shutting down because AOL can't keep it afloat. I have written an article about the news that Star Wars will become a sitcom, but that's nut up yet...

Anyways, I have accepted the offer from the Atrium for the Creative Technologies course. All I need is work my arse off big time in these nine weeks left of school. And for the first time, I actually hope these go quickly. Nice.

Ah, feck it, this is a short'un. If I find anything to rant about later tonight, I'll edit this post...

- And in recent news, someone somewhere has done something really obscure, and has made someone in somewhere think "man, I wish the writer of this blog hurries up by saying FIN sometime soon". More after this.

Untitled...

I'll be honest with you. I've started this post two times. And I couldn't even think of a fuckrad title. Ah well, who cares? I don't. I used fuckrad as a proper word. Do you think someone who uses a swear word coupled with a shortened word cares about titles? No.... =).

Anyways. As it's "christmas", I'll begin with today's happenings...

Rage Against The Machine, an american band who specialises in rebel music, are the christmas number one, beating the X-Factor winner Joe McElderry (wrote McReary jsut now... must cut down on Grand Theft Auto IV playage...) to the post. Hanestly? I'm glad RATM are on top with Killing In The Name (such a happy song title for the festive time of year), simply because I prefer it to The Climb (too middle of the road for me...). It's also a good thing that the makers of the group on FaceBook made a donations page for Shelter, raising about sixty thousand (I believe) pounds, with the addition of whatever RATM are donating too. Good on 'em.

And talking about Rage Against The Machine... Well, Morello anyways. His new band, Street Sweeper Social Club, has brought out a new song, Promenade. (Sorry, I can only find it on Ultimate-Guitar.com, no-one's YouTube'd it yet).

I tell's ya, it's some funkyass shit. And the video too. Fuck aye and a packet of Fox's Glacier sweets.

In other news, d'you remember the website that's going to happen that I'm helping out with? Well, recently they've made some designs up. I asked them could I do a design of my own... and this is what I came up with...

My logo idea...

RCT Logo

And the website design idea, thing...

Wicid Web Design Idea

As you might have guessed... the name they've gone with is Wicid. Don't ask me why. Anyways, the site should be live by January. Fuck.

Also in January, I have an interview with the University of Glamorgan. Woop. To study Creative Technology (Multimedia). And I have to make a portfolio. Great, I'm gazeeboed.

No other news on the other courses... but meh, I guess I'll have to wait 'till the new year.

So yeah, I shall leave you now.

- Om Nom Nom.... oh yeah.... FIN.

Forever In Debt To Your Priceless Advice.

Well hello there. Again.

I've just had a comment on one of my videos... and I, and I quote, 'ruined a perfectly good song', while addind 'ur gay'.

Happy days, eh?

Anybeatle, how is thou today?

Well, I'm just struggling to understand why everyone seems to be interested about Tiger Woods' private life. So what if he had affairs? It doesn't mean that the world has to grind to a hault just because he got his balls in the deep stuff (one of the many golf related innuendos that I have heard).

Not only that, the logo designers have even gotten onto the bandwaggon.

Look...

I dunno why, but even though I found that image rather funny, I found it a tad harsh. I mean, get off his back. There are other peole in the world who've done so much worse. Jesus man, it's a shite world when Tiger Woods and his affairs beats a death of a soldier in the Afgan war as the top story in the news...

So yeah. In other news. I've discovered that I should never attend another party. Ever.

Why? Because every one I've been to (well, the three I've been to), I've done the same thing, which is sit (or stand, for the first one) around doing nothing of worth. At least in the most recent one (which was Gazzard's birthday party, and also happy birthday for today dude!). I just felt like a prick, just sitting there. Yep, I'm have problems being social full stop. =).

Like today, Lowri (my sister, who's studying BA Acting in Trinity Collage in Carmarthen) came home for the weekend. We had dinner downstairs. I just felt pissing awkward. I mean, everyone (well, my parents and Lowri) were talking about something, and all I did was look down at the floor, trying to eat my food as fast as I can. I mean, how sad is that?... That's a reason why I ain't looking forward to University life...

In other news, I've started doing the one thing I haven't done on Guitar Hero... sing. And, is being able to do a song on Hard any good? Even though if it's a real simple song?..... =).

Also, I've been making some basslines on... well... my bass. I keep doing slap bass though. So that means, like my latest song that I came up with also states, if I write anymore slap bass songs then I'll need to get a new thumb. Thing is, they kind of sound the same as every other bass thing that I've done. Lord, have mercy if I actually record these songs.

I'm going to bugger off now.

Goodbye.

Back In The Saddle.

Yes, you heard it here first, or from some other source that is unknown to me...

I have my laptop back, fully charged and ready to rock (well, attempt to anyways).

If I didn't mention it before, the reason I have been laptopless for the past week or so is because the charger decided to bugger up on me, so I've had to wait 'til today to have it. Though, the twonks who delivered it didn't realise that only half of it was there, luckily I have the half that was buggered up, thus making me laptopful again.

Anybonbon, hello there.

I did mention it (I believe) in my last post, but I'll expand it further. I turned eighteen on the second of November. To be fair, it stared good, considering that I got me bass now. More on that later (luckky you). In school, I don't think anyone really remembered, but meh. I'm not bothered. Well, since I'm not one of these people who go fuck aye it's my birthday in (enter certain number of days here) wooo! on every day until my birthday. But as I said on that Monday (in which we has a Gwasanaeth then Ffiseg with Humphreys... I hate week two Mondays...) - It's just another day.

And to be fair, it was. And always has been.

That aside, one of the best things about that day was the fact that I have my bass, the Epiphone Thunderbird-IV Goth Bass. I'm not going to say all the specs of it, because to be fair I hardly know myself, or care. All I know is that it's a thousand times better than my first bass in all but one area - slap bass. No matter, gives me a reason to keep both, eh? I do have some problem though. I keep playing two songs all the time on the bass, and that's Muse's Hysteria and In Bloom by Nirvana. No idea why. But then again, both of these songs are good, so no harm done there.

In other news, I believe that my Chemistry skills are improving, but maybe it was just a one-off. Physics is like a double-edged sword. On one side, I'm alright with, and the other I feel like I'm failing horribly in. You can probably guess with what teacher is which edge of the sword is which.

Music Tech, is going swimingly... through custard. It's getting there, but it's not, if you get my meaning. The composing part has changed nearly everyday for me. One day I hear the song in a Grunge-esque way, the next I hear it in an blues style. It's not on. I haven't touched Heart Of Glass in ages now, that's not on either. The recording should be half done soon. I'm going to record the drums again (yey) by using eight microphones instead of three - one mic on the toms, snare and bass drum, and two overhed - to make them sound clearer, hopefully. I've redecided what part the harp is going to play. Ah well, at least I've got some recording things done.

Something I just said out loud - "Oh, me back".

Anydalmation, I have a snooker game for the 360, and I am completely shaite at it. I can never have a break higher than twenty five, just like in real life...

By the ways, y'know Them Crooked Vultures? They're streaming their album on Youtube. The link's to the first track of their Self Titled album, and there's the rest of the album in different videos. From what I've heard so far (which, to be fair, is like one or two), it's pretty good like.

Yeah....

Also, today is Rememberance Day. The school made a shambles with the two minute silence at eleven to commemorate the day by turning it to (bearly) one minute at quarter past. But, though this might not mean much, but yeah, they will not be forgotten... definately not by me anyways.

And, a word before I go...

You Set My Soul Alight.

I've gone from quoting Smashing Pumpkins to quoting Muse in my blog titles. I suppose it's not a bad thing, eh?

Anyways, did ya miss me?

Thought not.

Well, I would've posted sooner, but I either couldn't be arsed, or - most likely - it's because the charger to my laptop's gone kaput. Thus making me use my parents computer for a few days, which is also making me void of a lot of internet time. Shame. Anyroad, I have to wait a good few days for a new charger. It's a sad day for the beating heart of my laptop, as it's only thirty four percent full.

But, on the plus side, I've been reconnected with Safari, and it's spellchecker function... someone remind me to find a good'un for FireFox, there's a good lad/lass.

So yeah. Nothing much happened this week. Though it was my eighteenth birthday on Monday. That's the only mention I'll say on it, as I can't see it as anymore than just another day. I might say more on it in the next post. Lucky you.

Besides that, nothing's really happening in school. I'm just plodding my way through Chemistry and Physics, while I feel like I'm a headless chicken in Music Tech. I've done nothing of worth in Music Tech, other than record the bass part for Adam's song and make up a bass riff that does not match the lyrics of Alone. Shite. I are fucked.

It kind of shows in what the teacher's predicting me... a C or a D. Yey, I'm not going to improve on my D for AS... apparently.

Er, oh yes. Not only that, but there's another INSET day this friday. And I must be the only person in school to appose is. We just had a week off for Jesus' sake... ah well, at least there's a possibility to see my sister in Carmarthen then.

And this, shall be goodbye... or au revoir, or whatever tickles your linguistical pickle...

Give Me Your Heart And Your Soul

G'morning.

Today, is not only a Tuesday, but the day of a new template for my blog. I didn't do it (more's the pity), but yeah, I'll keep using it for a fair while. Y'like?

So, what's been up since the last post. Nothing really. Apart from being really ill for the past couple o' days. Feeling much better now though, thanks for asking. Also, tonight's the night of my friend, Kayleigh's eighteenth birthday party. Hopefully I'll get some unknown factor the make me well within the next couple of hours for me to go. Yeah, that's news, eh? Hehe.

Anyroad. apart from that, nawt else happened really. It's half term, so the only company I've got is Jeremy Kyle and a laptop. Wey.

Jeez... it's a short one today....

Actually yeah, it shall be a short'un.

Well, at least I haven't written an essay on why we should bury batteries when they die...

This Could Be The Start Of Something Beautiful Baby...

Ha. Fat chance.

And yes, technically, this'll be my second post of the day (as of when I've started writing this post), but since I actually wrote the last post late last night (like, twenty four hours ago?...), I'm free to blog once more due to the fact that I've got nothing really to do apart from waste my time, as always, on this bitch of a blog.

Oh, I guessed kind of right, thirty plus posts before September. Actually clocked in at thirty-four before Autumn entered into the hearts of us all. Since there's probably going to be less posts now that I'll be in school now, I'd guess no less than twenty more posts before Christmas. Lets hope, for your sake, it's less than that...

So... what up, dog?...

Oh, if you've been devoured into this thing called Twitter, then I'd like to hear your views on my new background for it. It's not spectacular. Nor is it not shite. But it actually looks much better on Safari than it does on FireFox. It even looks better in Opera. Shock horror. Ah well, it's only a design, right?

I have, just to let you into my sleeping habits, managed to sleep rather good these past few days. If good means that you stay up 'til two playing Solitair on your iPod, then waking up at ten to play on Rock Band...

Oh! Sacrilege!

That game that shall not be named..... HAS BEEN NAMED!!!

Sorry. Felt like adding some drama into this drivel I call a blog.

Anyways, if you have me as a contact on MSN, or as a friend on XBox Live (guess my GamerTag... I dare you...). But alas, I have managed to find peace, where I can live free, love free, and play both Guitar Hero and Rock Band and not be bias towards one or the other. Such harmony, I have found in my life... Well, not yet anyways.

Talk like Yoda, I might start to do. But what would 'laugh out loud' be in text speak...

OLIL?.... Er, that should've been out loud, I laugh...

And as I watch virtual tumbleweed drifting past my address bar, I shall continue...

But seriously, I'd love if people would do text speak, yoda style...

Back to the blog in hand... or computer monitor, for you... y'know.... grrrrr.

Yeah, I've only got Rock Band 2, and the free downloaded songs available. That game holds my, let's just say... guilty pleasures... C'mon, everyone has some. Though I believe it's more "I like Slayer, though I endulge in a bit of BoyZone now and again". And no, that's not me. Capiche?

How do you spell that word?...

Anycarrot, I've kind of lost interest in finishing this blog, because I know if I stay on my laptop late at night that I cannot sleep until it's time for me to wake up the next day. Ah well.

And on the final note... B flat...

- Fin, or should I say, phin...
